The Unchangable Father.

  • Everything changes.  Our bodies go through change, the season change, our world goes through changes, even the universe we are part of is changing.
  • Father, however never changes.
  • God Himself makes it clear that it is a good thing for us. Mal.3: 6.
  • James.1: 17 tells us that not even the intensity of His light varies, he is totally unchangeable.
  • Jesus has the same quality Heb.13: 8 ‘...Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever...’
  • This has implications for us, He loves you the same yes....’ His opinion of us has not changed. We can still come to Him at any time and find the same Father.
  • Father never changes and it is unique to Him, it’s an ‘incommunicable attribute’.

The Faithful Father.

Rom.3: 3 – 4.

  • Paul’s argument is to nullify the teaching that if Jesus truly is the Messiah, then God has been unfaithful to His promises in Abraham.
  • Paul argues strongly that all men will be deemed liars before God could be called unfaithful.
  • Duet.32: 3 – 4. Father’s Faithfulness is from old.
  • 1John.1: 9. He keeps His promises; Heb.10:23 ‘...He is faithful that promised.
  • If He promised He will do something, then He will. 2Cor.1: 20 ...in Him they are yes...’
  • 1Cor.1: 7 – 9. As Christians await the return of Jesus, Father’s faithfulness is the promise to confirm His children to the end.
